David Croft

A combination of life, karate, cooking and disability

  • Radio 4’s ‘The Kitchen Cabinet’ comes to St Austell, Cornwall…

The Radio 4 programme ‘The Kitchen Cabinet’ recently came to St Austell in Cornwall to get a feel of local produce. The program was hosted by Jay Rayner with a panel including Dr Anni Gray, Andi Oliver, Tim Hayward and Jordan Bourke. David Croft was among the audience amongst many other local people and food producers. Various questions were then taken from the audience and at the end of the programme people were able to taste some of the produce on offer. This was followed by the host and panel meeting various people from the audience. With Jay Rayner sometimes being a judge on BBC 2 Master Chef programme and Andi Oliver now being the Chair of BBC 2 The Great British Menu programme David Croft gave both a copy of Food for Thought. This in the hope that Master Chef or the Great British Menu may take on as its themes in 2020 The Mayflower 400 celebrations in Plymouth or include as part of either programme a cookery competition to make life easier for disabled diners when eating out.
